The theme for this printmaking project was nature. I thought what could be better than doing my favorite thing in the world, My dog. So, my dog became my inspiration for this project. I want to make this print really good because it was something I love so much.
The first challenge I came across was where to even start drawing my dog on the paper. The solution I came across was it trace it from the projector rather than trying to free draw it the best I could. The second challenge I came across was having so much white space that I was just cutting the Lino block for the longest time and hadn't been able to print at all. I even cut myself twice. Finally I finished and the rest was basically a breeze because I was pretty much done with the project. If I were to re-do this project I don't think I would really change anything. If I had to change something I probably would've tried to line the lines up better when I was printing the other colors on top of the colors. Overall though I LOVE the way this project turned out and the fact that it is my actual dog is something really special to me. (I'll probably frame and hang this print in my house not going to lie.)
