For my observational still life drawing I decided to choose to draw a landscape. I went to the courtyard and found a section of trees and bushes that I thought would be fun to draw. When I started drawing the landscape I started with the bushes and the tree branches. The hard part about this was that I didn't know exactly how to draw the finer details of the bushes like each individual leaf. This was the same for when I started to draw the actual leave part of the tree. I decided to draw the attention in on the tree branches and make those dark and let the bushes and tree almost fade out into the background of the drawing. I used a light pencil mark all over the bushes and then came back with a little darker marks in the bushes to create the finer details of the leaves. Overall, for my first drawing I would say it was a success!
