For my paint project I decided to paint about jump roping. Jump rope has been such a huge part of my life since I've been doing it since 3rd grade. Even when I was 4 years old and saw jump rope for the first time I knew I was going to do it. I had come up with the idea of somehow incorporating jump rope beads into my piece and came up with the idea to paint on top of them. The issue I came across was that fact that gluing each individual bead down took FOREVER. That would be why this piece is no where near complete. My plan was to paint my legs like I was jumping the rope. I even glued different color beads down to represent the rope I was jumping. I was able to trace my legs and feet out and I was able to paint the first coat of my legs but that is all I have gotten to.
The most helpful paint warm-up we did was defiantly the skin tone one. Since I obviously had to paint legs and was going to need to mix colors to get the right skin tone it was helpful to know how to mix paint colors properly and know how mixing certain colors will change the skin tone color.
